Right from the stunning LeMans-winning Ford GT40 to McLaren’s F1 racer in 2021, many cars have rocked the iconic Gulf livery and made headlines with it. However, one place where this livery is yet to make a mark is in the motorcycle world which leaves us (enthusiasts) with nothing but our imagination. Luckily, though, Lord Drake Kustoms has come to the rescue and prepared a bamboozling custom Harley-Davidson Sportster donning the Gulf Oil colors. Here’s a look at it.

Custom Harley-Davidson Sportster Bobber Gulf Edition

Based on the Harley-Davidson Iron 883 R, this custom motorcycle bike wears handmade fenders at both ends, with the rear one being extra short to replicate a bobber. Like the fenders, the mounting brackets are handmade as well and they look pretty standout.

Next, the stock handlebar has made way for a tall mini-ape handle complete with LED indicators, bar-end mirrors, and custom handgrips. Plus, the OEM instrument cluster now sits on the side, under the fuel tank - a unique but impractical position, to be honest.

Lastly, topping off the design is the dazzling Gulf Oil livery with blue and orange stripes running on the silver-ish base coat. This is replete with multi-spoke custom alloy wheels, with the front wheel measuring 21-inches replacing the stock 19-incher.

Contrary to the design, Lord Drake Kustoms has taken a relatively subtle approach with the mechanicals by only throwing in a Vance & Hines exhaust and a custom air filter. The 883cc, twin-cylinder mill remains stock otherwise but should make slightly more power due to the upgrades. Also, since more power means more speed, the bike now has upgraded the brakes with twin rotors upfront.

Can You Buy It?

Sadly, the custom bikemaker hasn’t provided much deets on either the availability or the price of the Sportster Gulf. However, if you have a donor bike, we suggest you hit up Lord Drake Kustoms and see if they can whip something similar for you too.
