In these modern times, classic limited edition motorcycles are all the riot if you want to brag to your mates or just feel super special and if you’re looking for one, Bring A Trailer has you covered.

The online seller has put up a limited edition Ducati Paul Smart 1000 for auction, which is one of the ONLY 65 bikes that ever made it to the United States. Let’s take a deep look at what this magical bike offers.

Ducati Paul Smart 1000 Limited Edition

Officially called the Ducati PS1000 LE, the bike went into production to celebrate Ducati racer Paul Smart’s race win at Imola in 19721.

All of the bike’s bodywork – the semi-fairing, fuel tank, and mirrors – comes wrapped in a glittery silver color with old-school Ducati logos, topped off by a color-matched rear seat cowl.

This is highlighted by a sea-green trellis chassis and blacked-out dual shotgun exhausts that look sporty and classic at the same time.

Overall, the bike looks properly sexy and if you’re an old-school cafe racer fan, this is arguably one of the best purchases you'll make.

Coming to the instrumentation, the Ducati PS1000E has two analog dials with good-old needles to tell you the rpm and the speed. These dials, however, do get orange backlit digital inserts that show the odometer and temperature. Speaking of the odometer, the bike only has 14 miles on it, basically making it an all-new bike.

Other notable things in the cockpit include clip-on handlebars, limited edition signage, and a chrome steering damper.

Under all the fancy bodywork, the Ducati PS1000LE is powered by a 992cc, L-twin engine packing Ducati’s signature desmodromic valves and Marelli fuel injection. The motor puts out 92 horsepower and 67 pound-feet, all of which are sent to the rear wheel via a six-speed transmission.

In typical Ducati fashion, the PS1000LE features top-notch underpinnings comprising Brembo brakes at both ends along with an Ohlins USD fork and an Ohlins monoshock. Not to forget, you also get retro spoke wheels wrapped in Pirelli Phantom tires.

What’s The Price?

Like all Bring A Trailer auctions, you can visit the company’s website and put in your bid to buy the Ducati Paul Smart 1000. For reference, the current bid (at the time of writing this story) stands at $36,000, which is quite high but acceptable for what is essentially a work of art on wheels.

Also, if you are the lucky owner of this, you’ll receive all original paperwork, a code card, and both original keys.
