The fight for men's health has taken centre stage in recent years, thanks to the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride raising awareness of prostate cancer and mental health issues. Triumph has always been a staunch supporter of the DGR and has now teamed up with Gibson guitars for an unspecified tie-up.

Triumph and Gibson Guitars Partner Up For Mens' Health

1959 was a very good year in both motorcycling and music. First, one of the most iconic motorcycles ever was released to the public: the Triumph T120R Bonneville became the default British motorcycle and is still with us today.

Second, one of the most iconic guitars ever was released to the public: the Gibson Les Paul Standard is still, to this day, one of the iconic guitar shapes (and sounds!) and is still with us today.

The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride, started in 2012 by Australian Mark Hawwa, has done enormous work to raise awareness of men's health, particularly prostate cancer and mental health issues, raising many millions of dollars in the process. Triumph motorcycles has, for many years, been a staunch supporter of the Ride and has become almost the defining brand of the event.

So, what's the connection? Well, Triumph and Gibson have teamed up for a 'custom partnership' around the 2022 DGR, to be held worldwide on May 22nd. Quite what this means has not been made clear just yet but Triumph is obviously a very attractive brand for other brands to collaborate with: just the other day, we reported on the limited edition Breitling Bonneville.

Triumph seems to have adopted the mantle of elder statesman of motorcycling, not to mention the unofficial title of coolest motorcycle brand and what Gibson doesn't know about being cool isn't worth writing about.
