Teaser video confirms the new Tiger series to be launched on November 7th

After their Bonneville range, it’s the Tiger models that give the British brand their numbers. So much that Triumph feels no inhibitions with having 17 different models in the line-up that carry 800 cc and 1215 cc engine mods.

As regularly updating their line-ups go, Triumph is most probably giving us a new Tiger for the 2018 range and will boast of having ’Transformed’, with a ’New Tiger Triple Engine’ and ’New Tiger Technology’. Apart from this, few industry sources also quote that Triumph will just be giving all the Tigers mild updates to look fresh for 2018.

For some people, adventure is about finding your way through the unknown to see things no one has and doing things most haven’t is a savor best felt. But unless you plan on walking, you need the right tool to get there. This is where Triumph’s Tiger series comes in and sweeps you off your feet in the most humble and matured way.

The Brits have released a video that teases the launch of the new Tiger(s) that will happen at EICMA on November 7th. It will most likely join the Tiger 800 series of machines since we see 21-inch wired-spoked front wheel, as found on the Tiger 800 XCX and has a chain driven transmission. The 1215cc models are all shaft driven.

The video does not share many details but enough for us to get excited. With Euro IV norms, Triumph will equip the new machine(s) with cleaner engines and hopefully give a bump in their performance numbers. Current generation Tigers have 139hp for the 1200 and 95hp for the 800.

It looks like the new Tiger(s) will get some fancy bits on the outside as well to keep in vogue. Things include new headlights with cornering LEDs’, heated grips, TFT instrumentation seen on the new Street Triple and probable chassis tweaks.

Currently, The Tiger models have 17 different versions ’Tiger 800’, ’Tiger Explorer’, and ’Tiger Sport’ banners of which the latter is not available on American shores. XR, XRX and XRT versions are for road-going iteration carrying different specs whereas XCX and XCA are for the more off-road capable adventure machines.

Expect all the models to get refreshed at the Triumph stand at EICMA starting on November 6th.
