Journalists present at Assen have just confirmed the news that Troy Bayliss refused testing the Desmosedici GP8 for Ducati and here are the Australian’s words:

"I was asked to test the Ducati MotoGP, but I refused. Of course, I like to climb in the saddle again to a MotoGP so for fun, but they are too concentrated to win the World Superbike in my last years of activity. There are too many races in a short time, I would have to be the best in every appointment. Spender two days to try something "not mine" would not be ideal… Then I had said in Valencia in 2006: that was my last race in MotoGP, and the last time I'd seen in a saddle Ducati Desmosedici ".

Ducati has quickly redirected the invitation to Max Biaggi who was more than anxious to test the Desmosedici GP8, the only thing remaining to see whether and which will replace Bayliss in future pilot tests. In racing you never know which will be the next move so stay tuned and you’ll quickly find out.
