Not content with hitting 250mph on a Kawasaki H2R back in 2016, World Supersport champion Kenan Sofuoglu returns to the world’s longest suspension bridge, the Canakkale 1915 in Turkey to do battle with the 1000bhp Ferrari SF90, driven by 2021 World Superbike Champion and fellow countryman Toprak Razgatlioglu

Ultimate Drag Race: Kawasaki H2R vs. Ferrari SF90

That Kawasaki's H2R is fast is well known. Back in 2016, five-time World Supersport Champion Kenan Sofuoglu reached just shy of 250mph riding the machine over the 4.6km Canakkale 1915 suspension bridge - the longest in the world.

Not content with that, the motorcycle racer-turned politician organised another stunt, this time going head-to-head with 2021 World Superbike Champion Toprak Razgatlioglu, who would be driving Ferrari's 1000bhp SF90 hypercar.

Whereas Sofuoglu's 2016 stunt was to set a top speed record, this time it was a drag race between car and bike, with the emphasis on accelerating as quickly as possible.

This presented Sofuoglu with a whole new challenge and you can see how hard he is fighting to keep the front wheel of the 300+bhp Kawasaki on the ground while accelerating as hard as possible along a 2km stretch of the bridge.

At first, the Ferrari clearly has the upper hand but, as soon as the Kawasaki gets hooked up and the front wheel stays planted on the road, it easily reels in the Ferrari and takes off into the distance.

Does it prove anything we didn't already know? Not really, no. But it was a great publicity stunt for Turkey and Turkish sportsmen.
