Unlike most racing series in the world, the Dakar Rally offers a dramatic change of scenery, far removed from the glamor and pizzazz of Formula One->ke190 and the breathtaking spectacle of NASCAR->ke3635. The Dakar Rally is neither of those things, which is precisely why it’s become one of the most exciting races in the world. it’s also the most dangerous, spread across three South American countries covering a schedule that lasts two weeks. Needless to say, anything and everything can happen at the Dakar Rally.

The 2015 staging of the race was no different. It began on January 4, 2015 in Buenos Aires, Argentina before crossing through Chile and Bolivia and then returning to Buenos Aires for the finish line. The race lasted through 13 days of competition, covering a total distance of almost 5,600 miles. The sheer spectacle of the race is unrivalled, and in those 13 stages, we saw a treasure trove of action-packed sequences that will remain in our heads for the foreseeable future.

There were dramatic highs. There were sad lows. But through it all, the Dakar Rally lived up to its reputation as the world’s most dangerous race. There are instances when such words ring hyperbole. Not this time. The race was definitely one for the books, as this video will show you.

So sit back and enjoy the very best from the 2015 Dakar Rally. It’s going to be a long wait before the 2016 race begins. Trust me when I’ll tell you, this video should be archived so that if you need to satiate your thirst for the rally until next year, you at least have a video to go back to.
