Ever had the problem of slippery tires, especially during the winter? It’s a big problem to have, particularly if you’re riding a bike. Unlike cars, bikes don’t have the safety valve of a body, acting as a cocoon to protect a driver. That’s why spiked tires are important if you want to keep safe in the unpleasant conditions of the season. If you’re looking for a quick solution to these kind of woes, do check this video out.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is a do-it-yourself method on how to create spiked moto tires for use in the winter. Apparently, all you need is a drill, a whole lot of screws, and a lot more patience to get the job done. Personally, I’ve never had to experience this problem because there’s no snow where I’m from. ButI’ve been to places that have snowed so I know the kind of inconvenience slippery roads have on a rider.

So in the event you’re trying to find a suitable pair of winter tires but you don’t have the finances to afford them, try this simple experiment. Just drill the screws into the tires one by one and try to keep them in place using what looks like duct tape because, well, duct tape solves everything. Admittedly, I don’t know if drilling screws into the tires actually works. It’s understandable to think that the screws would just go back inside the tires once it travels on the road.

But hey, if you really think it’s going to work, at least you have a way to do it now.
