We’ve seen our fair share of “car vs bike” drag races and if I do say so myself, these things never get old. It’s like the gift that keeps on giving, only it’s limited to watching them on YouTube videos. But even that doesn’t take away from the spectacle of seeing a high-powered sports car throw down against an equally imposing superbike.

This race is admittedly a few months old, but that’s the beauty of the Internet. Hidden gems like this are kept stowed away but can be unearthed any time, providing quality entertainment to anybody who watches it. Well, I found myself captivated by this particular match-up: a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray taking on a 2015 Ducati Diavel.

Two machines that are arguably at the peak of their powers. One is bringing a whole new level of energy to the American sports car market whereas the other continues to reign in the Italian sports bike segment. It’s an interesting match-up, to say the least, and one that had a pretty surprising result, not because of which machine won, but the way it seemingly did it in dominating fashion.

Care to guess who got smoked and who did the, uhh, smoking? Click play and find out! Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

He doesn't know when that will be, but until then, he’s committed to expressing his love for KITT, and all cars for that matter, here at TopSpeed.  Read More
