Video: Hayabusa vs. Harley Drag Race

Only One question: Why?

LISTEN 01:21

Drag racing is brilliant: a celebration of pure speed and acceleration, an explosion of noise. But sometimes you have to wonder at some of the races that take place.

Hayabusa vs. Harley Davidson Drag Race

We’re big fans of drag racing videos here at and there are some brilliant ones out there. However, I’m not sure this is one of them!

Given the title - Hayabusa vs. Harley Davidson - I was expecting some super tricked-out Harley giving the Hayabusa a really good spanking down the strip. It turns out, however, that the Harley - and a Victory, despite the title - look pretty much standard while the Hayabusas could possibly be modified with longer swing arms, although it’s hard to tell.

And the results? Well, predictable, really! Despite a head start, the two cruisers are beaten although, in fairness, it seems as if the Victory has a problem half way down the strip, not to mention a rather large rider that couldn’t have helped the power to weight ratio!

And yet, the video has had more than 9 million views! Given that, we just had to post it to find out if we’re missing something! Please tell us in the comments section: maybe there’s hidden messages in the video or something!
