Five years ago, Curtiss Motorcycles (previously known as Confederate) jumped aboard the EV bandwagon, followed by the unveiling of its “game-changing” electric motorcycle, the 1, in 2021. A year later, Curtiss has retaken the floor to release a documentary about how the 1 came to life and it gives a deep insight into Curtiss' approach to the 1.

Curtiss Motorcycle The 1 Documentary

Dubbed ‘The Opposite Of Death’, the 44-minute-long documentary highlights every aspect of The 1 and the reason/purpose of how and why the bikemaker did it. Apart from this, the CEO says the aim of the e-motorcycle is to change the game and become the first eternal bike. bike.}} A lot of the credit here goes to its one-of-a-kind fully modular battery, which eliminates the need to throw it around once it fails to hold a charge.

Another important detail here is the unique personalization options offered by Curtiss. The bikemaker ensures the customers can customize just about anything on the motorcycle (for extra money, of course) to make the bike truly theirs.

Not to mention, the construction of the Curtiss 1 is a masterpiece in itself, thanks to the never-seen-before design, use of high-spec materials (carbon fiber, titanium, etc), and a chassis with rake and trail adjustment. For more details, we suggest you spare 44-minutes and watch the full documentary:

Curtiss The 1 - Price & Availability

Thanks to all the extravaganza, Curtiss has priced the 1 at $83,333, shipping and delivery charges excluded, which will begin next year. This is by no means affordable for the masses, which is fine because Curtiss’ target market is the uber-rich. Oh, and in case you want carbon fiber alloy wheels on your bike, that’ll add another $2,500.

To round off, Curtiss has made some rather bold claims in the documentary and as happy as we are to accept them, we will have to take it for a spin to give you a clear opinion.
