Honda’s racing division has had a lot of work to do these season, but apparently, that hasn’t stopped them from creating a promotional video of Repsol Honda’s performance during the 2015 MotoGP season.

Ok, to be fair about it, it hasn’t been the smoothest season for the defending champions. Dani Pedrosa has been out for the majority of the year. He’s replacement rider, Hiroshi Aoyama, failed to register a single point in any of the three races he filled in for Pedrosa. And to make things worse, defending champion Marc Marquez has had to deal with his own set of injury issues.

Suffice to say, Repsol Honda hasn’t had a good year and yet, things are looking up now that Marquez and Pedrosa are back on the saddle. Let me tell you, it’s no coincidence that this promotional video was released days before the team’s star riders participate in the same race for the first time since the season-opening tilt in Qatar.

I believe this is an intentional attempt at getting fans of the team and the itself pumped up for the remaining rounds of the current MotoGP season. Honda’s got a lot of catching up to do if it hopes to overtake current points leader Yamaha.

This promotional video won’t do anything to directly help in that regard, but you better believe how important something like this can be to help boost team’s morale as it enters the most crucial stage of its 2015 MotoGP campaign.

To this day, Kirby remains convinced that he will one day own a car with the same ‘spirit’ as the original KITT (not the 2008 monstrosity). He doesn't know when that will be, but until then, he’s committed to expressing his love for KITT, and all cars for that matter, here at TopSpeed.  Read More
