The Honda CB750 is an iconic motorcycle that is commonly used as a base for creating striking custom motorcycles throughout the world. But this right here is probably the most stunning CB750-based custom bike you’ll ever come across.

Meet the Honda CB750 race bike by UK-based Ziggymoto. Built for London-based Bike Shed, the bike takes inspiration from Honda’s CR750 race bike and will be a highlight at the 2022 Bike Shed London Show in May 2022. Let's take a closer look at the bike.

Custom Honda CB750 By Ziggymoto

One look at this build and it looks totally different from the legendary Honda CB750. That’s because Ziggymoto wanted to create a race bike of sorts rather than a scrambler or cafe racer that we're used to seeing from the company.

The inspiration here was the iconic Honda CR750 race bike, so the fairing design is similar and hides all the internals beautifully. Interestingly, the whole fairing is a single-piece unit made of fiber-glass instead of bits and pieces bolted together like we usually see on modern motorcycles.

However, Ziggymoto couldn’t just let this be a racetrack-only motorcycle and needed a headlight to make it road-legal (or at least feel like it) while keeping things sporty.

The solution? Well, a unique headlight setup that revolves to pop out from the fairing itself. This is by far one of THE coolest headlight setups we’ve seen in a long long time and full kudos to the builders for pulling this off.

Impressed? Well, there’s more. To keep things neat and clean yet functional, Ziggymoto has housed the battery inside the rear seat cowl. Meanwhile, the fuel tank has two compartments, one for fuel and the other for the oil cooler, thus freeing up space under the seat.

From the outside, we come to the insides. As I mentioned above, only the engine here is from the iconic CB750. But the maker has still spruced it up a lil'.

You see, the stock inline-four motor was a little vanilla putting out around 70 horsepower. So Ziggymoto threw in a big bore kit, new pistons, and a race camshaft to make this build not just look but also feel like a race bike.

In addition, the suspension seen on this build (Ohlins USD fork and Ohlins mono-shock) has been drawn from a Ducati 749, just like the Brembo brakes. }

For the final touches, the custom bikemaker has thrown in sticky Michelin Power Cup 2 tires, integrated LED indicator-cum-tail lamps inside the cowl, and painted all the bodywork in a stealthy dark grey color with bold golden graphics.

Can You Buy It?

Details such as availability and whether this bike will go on sale or be auctioned are yet to be revealed. We expect all these details to break cover once the bike blesses the Bike Shed London show on 28th and 29th May 2022.

On sale or not, this is one the slickest CB750-based builds we’ve seen in a long time. What's your take on it? Let us know in the comments below.
