2012 Aprilia SR 50 R - Replica SBK
The Aprilia SR 50 R is one of the most popular sports scooters developed by Aprilia. Since its inception, the scooter was constantly upgraded and the 2012 model comes with a new design, inspired by the RSV 1000 R Factory.
Apart from its tasty new skin, the SR 50 incorporates numerous technical solutions derived directly from Aprilia’s world-beating maxi.
The company says that ever since it was first introduced, the SR has been the preferred scooter of the Aprilia Racing Team, and is used extensively at trials and race meetings to get quickly between pit lane and the paddock.
Power comes from a liquid cooled horizontal single cylinder two stroke engine with 49cc displacement. The unit is mated on an automatic gearbox which offers smooth and precise shifts.
The scooter’s speed is kept in check by a front 190 mm stainless steel disc gripped by a racing caliper with twin opposed 32 mm pistons and a rear 190 mm stainless steel disc paired with a racing caliper with twin opposed 30 mm pistons.
