The Arctic Cat XR 550 has more than it needs to impress you with its superior off road abilities. It features faultless ergonomics, it is easy to handle and rides on a set o state of the art suspensions which help it deal effortless with anything you throw at it. In its off road adventures, the ATV is also helped by front Duro Kaden / 25x8-12 and rear Duro Kaden / 25x10-12 tires.
The ATV is propelled by a 454 SOHC, 4 stroke, 4 valve W/EFI engine which is mated on an automatic CVT transmission with EBS Hi/Lo range, neutral, reverse & park. The engine is fueled by a six gallons fuel tank.

"Improving rider comfort and ride quality informed many of the changes. The engine was moved forward in the chassis, giving the rider three additional inches of space in the footwell. A narrower design also puts a rider’s feet two inches closer together than on previous models. The chassis was stretched out two inches to achieve a 52-inch wheelbase and the geometry on the front and rear A-arm suspension set-ups has been changed, giving 10-inches of travel at all four corners.
