The 2014 Kawasaki KFX450R was carefully designed to deliver top-notch control and precise handling worthy of any off road beast. The aluminum frame helps you remain in total control and allows the suspension to be easily tuned according to the terrain conditions. Talking about suspensions, they include dual-rate front springs and an adjustable rear shock which are able to soak most of the bumps without breaking a sweat.

In its off road adventures, the Kawasaki KFX450R is also helped by a potent, liquid cooled, four-stroke, DOHC, four valve single engine with a displacement of 449 cc. The engine is fueled by a 2.6 gallons fuel tank and it’s power is kept under control by a five-speed transmission with reverse.

With a potent powerplant proven on the Supercross championship-winning KX™450F, the KFX450R ATV is ready to race. A strong, tapered, Renthal® Fatbar allows for excellent leverage and nimble handling. On that bar is the magic button... connected to a compact electric starter.

At its core, a highly responsive 32-bit DFI system automatically compensates for temperature and altitude, resulting in mind-blowing thrust conversion from the KFX’s four-stroke engine. Riders can rocket out of corners due to the huge amounts of torque in both the low- and medium-rpm ranges.

The KFX450R’s five-speed manual transmission includes an unobtrusive reverse gear system. Thanks to the KFX’s lightweight aluminum frame, total unit weight is no more than a steel frame without reverse. The convenience of the reverse gear is evident to riders who can quickly and easily extricate themselves from first turn chaos, trail bottlenecks or any other on-track incident, using the normal shift lever plus a convenient handlebar mounted lock-out lever.
