tMotion Rear Suspension

The tMotion flexes laterally, reducing the effort to initiate a roll, due to a ball joint at the center hinge between the rear arm and drop link and split flat-tube front arms. Very progressive motion ratio makes the ride on trails even more comfortable.

RAS 2 Front Suspension

We further sharpen the industry’s best handling snowmobiles. New geometry and lighter components increase precision, especially in extreme bumps. Sharp new styling, too. Reduces weight by 1.76 lb (0.8 kg).

LinQ Snowboard/Skis Rack

Flexedge Track

By shortening the fiberglass reinforcing rods inside, the track’s edges flex when you carve the sled, making boondocking and sidehilling easier. It provides the flotation of a 16-in. (41 cm) wide track with the maneuverability of a 12-in. (30 cm) track.

REV-XM Running Boards

“New for 2016 is the Summit Burton model, part of an on-going cross-promotion between Ski-Doo and Burton Snowboards. It is essentially a Summit SP 154 model with a two-passenger seat (without a backrest – just a grab strap) and a side-mounted snowboard/ski rack on the left side.

The Freeride line features huge visual changes for 2016 – the shocking Manta Green color has been relegated primarily to the skis and suspension rails; most of the body and the tunnel is now in Lava Red. The sleds do get one mechanical upgrade: The switch to the RAS 2 geometry.” ----- SnowGoer

“The 2016 Summit enjoys an expansion of the T3 package to all Summit X models as well as a Summit SP with T3. To make Ski-Doo popular with snowboarders, there is a Summit Burton package based on the Summit SP 154, which can effectively replace the chairlift or get you places beyond the lifts.

For 2016 there will be five Summit models, that includes a Spring Only buy of Summit X with premium shocks, Pilot DS3 skis, the T3 package and choice of PowderMax with FlexEdge track in three lengths – 154, 163 0r 174. The Summit SP with T3 is an in-season model and offers FlexEdge traction with tMotion suspension. The base Summit SP comes with 2.5-inch track lugs and tMotion suspension and high-pressure gas shocks. The Summit Sport offers a value option for powder hounds that is based on the REV-XP chassis but features FlexEdge traction and narrow ski stance.
