After their Bonneville range, it’s the Tiger models that give the British brand their numbers, predominantly the three-cylinder ones for its practical approach and usability as an adventure motorcycle.

Taking their game to serious new levels, Triumph is giving us an all-new range of Tigers that will replace the 800s’ with a new 900cc engine. It will give out 10% more power, aggressive modern styling, brilliant standard specs, and new state-of-the-art riding enhancements. And it is the lightest Tiger models ever since they came out in 2010, making them the most capable, agile, and dynamic middleweight adventure bikes available. New Adjustable Fly-Screen

Keeping the new 900 looking smart is the new bodywork and decals with updated tank end panel, high mudguard, and seat panel designs that keep the off-road stance pronounced even better. An all-new twin radiator set up enhances the adventure style with its shape and position, whose design results in a more optimized center of gravity. The headlights are now all LED and get signature daytime running lights (DRL), the RALLY PRO even comes equipped with LED auxiliary fog lights for additional long-distance capability.

New manually adjustable windscreen at the front and aero diffusers make for segment-leading aero protection. The new 5.3-gallon fuel tank promises for an almost unending long-distance travel. Engine protection bars & radiator guard comes as standard. Adding to rider satisfaction, both models receive 12V and USB power sockets along with an under-seat secure mobile phone storage, and heated grips. The RALLY PRO additionally gets heated seats and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

Engine protection bars & radiator guard comes as standard

The all-new 7” TFT dash can be controlled using the new ergonomically backlit switch cubes and five-way joystick. It gets an adjustable angle panel allowing the rider to have customized styles and access to the unique onboard computer that gives all the information under the sun straight to the rider in an intuitive and fun way. There are different screen display styles to choose from, pre-set to the riding modes, and changeable easily on the move. The ’My Triumph connectivity system’ and app available only on the RALLY PRO enables smartphone connectivity for the phone call and music operations, turn-by-turn navigation, and GoPro control.

The machine runs on Triumph’s new Euro5 compliant 888 cc three-pot mill with a 1-3-2 firing order. This gives the new engine a unique character and feels unlike any other, along with a more aggressive soundtrack. With improved performance figures of 94 hp @ 8,750rpm and 64 lb-ft of peak torque coming in at 7,250 rpm, the machine delivers more responsive acceleration than before via the slip-and-assist clutch. A 6-speed transmission comes with the Triumph Shift Assist (up and down quickshifter) on the RALLY PRO.

A new stainless steel 3-into-1 exhaust system gives out a throaty bark under load and a “raspy and engaging triple soundtrack”. The new radiator design incorporates lesser coolant volume and increased efficiency. There’s also an all-new airbox with a more easily accessible new air filter.

Everything on the new Tiger 900 Rally is bolted onto a new steel trellis frame with modular construction, aluminum rear sub-frame, and pillion hangers. Twin 320mm floating discs are clutched onto by Brembo Stylema 4 piston Monobloc calipers for optimal braking performances and comes as standard equipment across the range. The rear gets a single 255mm disc clutched by a Brembo single piston sliding caliper.

Adding to rider confidence is the new seat compounds, revised handlebar positioning, and updated frame geometry for an enhanced rider ergonomics and comfort. Additionally, each model has a dedicated and unique footrest position to suit the expected style of riding, and a built-in easily adjustable (20mm) two-position seat height mechanism.

Rider aids on the RALLY models include an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), optimized cornering ABS & traction control, ride-by-wire throttle, and updated electronic cruise control. There are up to four riding modes on the RALLY, whereas the RALLY PRO gets six riding modes having an additional "rider programmable" and the new “Off-Road Pro” mode, which allows the rider to disengage all electronic rider aids.

We see the highest level of standard technology specification on the RALLY models, and one of them is the Showa 45mm USD cartridge forks up front with a massive 9.5” of travel, and the Gas pressurized RSU unit at the rear having 9” of movement. (The rest gets Marzocchi setup). Made for an ADV setup, the 21”-17” Spoked wheels carry studded tires.

The pricing for the high-spec Brits’ isn’t out yet, but we believe they’ll carry a $ 15,000 price tag when they roll on showroom floors next year.

The RALLY and the RALLY PRO will come in Matt Khaki, Sapphire Black and Pure White, all featuring contemporary new decals and a distinctive white frame inspired by the ‘Tiger Tramontana’ rally bike. The finish and detailing is also improved to its highest ever level.

Apart from all the bells and whistles, the Tiger range can further be enhanced with an extensive range of dedicated accessories, including 65 optional accessories to maximize the riding experience. Triumph has also launched a fully-loaded ‘Trekker’ inspiration kit and an ‘Expedition’ kit for the new Tiger range.

The BMW GS adventure series of motorcycles have become quite a reminiscent name in the segment of premium enduro bikes in the country, and they are the bestselling range of motorcycles for the Bavarian company, just like the Tigers for the Brits’.

The dash also sees a major reform with the 850 ditching the old analog-LCD panel to a new state of the art TFT instrument cluster seen first on the R1200GS recently. It can also connect to your smartphone device via Bluetooth to enhance many possibilities for your ride. An asymmetrical LED headlight splits the night with something of a steampunk look, and if you’re into daytime running lights, the factory offers a DRL option ex werke. It also gets a 6.1-gallon fuel tank, more than the Tiger’s enough for even the most ambitious globetrotters.

Power comes from a reworked water-cooled parallel twin to the tune of 63 pound-feet of torque at 6,250 rpm and 90 horsepower. The electronic wizardry continues into the drivetrain, starting with a ride-by-wire throttle control that sends your power corrections to the engine control, but that’s not the end of it. An Automatic Stability Control — Beemer’s proprietary traction control system – modifies the engine’s response with consideration for the available traction as indicated by the amount of rear-wheel slip.

The frame is comprised of welded, tubular-steel members as the main structure of the F 850 GS Adventure. In a bid to limit weight, the factory uses the engine as a stressed unit to displace the downtube/cradle section. Dual twin-pot calipers bite the 305 mm front discs to provide the bulk of the safe stopping power with a single-pot anchor and 265 mm disc to help keep your rear-end behind you through the magic of Beemer’s switchable ABS, and optional ABS Pro features.
