In terms of power, the Yamaha FJR1300AE is equipped with a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, forward-inclined parallel, 4-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1,298 cc. The unit generates a maximum output of 107.5 KW (146.2PS) at 8,000 rpm and 138.0 Nm (14.1 Kg-M) of torque at 7,000 Rpm.
All this power is transferred to the rear wheel by means of a constant mesh five speed transmission with wet, multiple-disc clutch.

New inverted forks
In order to fit the electronically adjustable suspension to the bike, Yamaha have upgraded the FJR1300A’s conventional forks to new upside-down items, updating not only the bike’s look but also its performance. The new forks contain independent damper mechanisms, splitting the compression and damping adjustment between fork legs.
The FJR1300AE comes with Yamaha’s electronically adjustable suspension system. The rider can select ‘One-Up’, ‘One-Up with Luggage’, ‘Two-Up’ or ‘Two-Up with Luggage’ suspension settings. The system also offers a choice of ‘Soft’, ‘Standard’ or ‘Hard’ damping for each setting, giving a total of twelve unique suspension set-ups.

Advanced electronic control systems
The FJR1300AE benefits from the addition of many advanced electronic control systems, including traction control (TCS) and cruise control. Yamaha’s D-mode system allows the rider to adjust engine performance to suit either relaxed or sports riding while the electronically-adjustable suspension significantly improves the ride quality.
Fully adjustable ergonomics for added comfort
For the optimum riding experience, the FJR1300F allows riders to tailor the bike to their own individual requirements. The seat height and handlebar position can be fine-tuned to suit different riding styles while the electrically adjustable screen and air management system provide highly effective wind protection.
Sophisticated 3-part instrumentation
The FJR1300AE is equipped with a high-specification 3-part instrument panel. This high-tech console includes an analogue tachometer on the left, central digital speedometer and fuel gauge and a multi function dot matrix display on the right that also confirms which mode the electronically-adjustable suspension is set to.
