Supermotard videos

Supermotard/Supermoto racing uses a trio of surfaces for its tracks – hard-pack dirt, dirt jumps and obstacles, and asphalt – to make them the triathletes of race bikes. At a glance, you could probably call them dirtbikes with street-type hoops, but they're set up with very specific capabilities to deal with the unlikely combination of tracks on which they compete. They have very little utility as a commuter or tour bike, but lend themselves to shenaniganery and are a favorite for trick/stunt riders. Most weigh in with powerplants of less than a liter, and single-cylinder thumpers are currently the preferred configuration. (Suzuki DR-Z400SM, Aprilia Dorsoduro 900, Husqvarna 701 Supermoto.)
