From a new Nightster variant to cruise control on its old-school cruisers, Harley-Davidson updated most of its lineup for 2023. The key word being ‘most,’ since the CVO Road Glide and Street Glide weren’t part of the refresh which raised suspicion whether both motorcycles would be revealed separately. Now, this has been confirmed, as the upcoming 2023 Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide and Street Glide have been leaked on the internet with eye-catching updates. Let’s dive in.

The 2023 CVO Road Glide And Street Glide Feature A New Design

The most noteworthy aspect of the leaked images is the fresh design. Looking at the CVO Road Glide first, it bids adieu to the twin oval headlights and makes way for a single all-LED unit. The new headlight incorporates the LED indicators too, while sitting inside a new, visibly bigger fairing. You can also see it has bigger, lower fairing shrouds and an aggressive forward kink in the shape, unlike the outgoing cruiser.

As for the CVO Street Glide, it flaunts a refreshed batwing fairing, complete with a new horseshoe-shaped all-LED headlight that replaces the current round unit. The headlight is flanked by two LED strips on either side which serve as the DRLs and turn signals. Meanwhile, both motorcycles flex new fenders and color options, while an update to the feature list (electronic windshield, heated grips, bigger screen) is also expected.

Design aside, another striking change is the front suspension. Both cruisers switch from old-school telescopic forks to beefy upside-down units–a rarity in Harley’s Grand American Touring range. Additionally, they feature considerably bigger front rotors, clamped by Brembo calipers instead of the HD-marked units we’re used to. All this is paired with a different set of wheels that appear identical to the TPMS-enabled Combo Cast wheels sold as an accessory.

Last but surely not least is the engine update. If you look closely, you can spot a “121” badge on the engine case, unlike the current “117” lettering. This means the two baggers will employ a new 121ci (1,982cc) V-twin engine, a move that makes sense since many non-CVO models now employ the 117 engine. So a bigger V-twin will make the CVO Road Glide and Street Glide stand out in the lineup. Sadly, there’s no word on the expected performance, but an increase over the current 105 horsepower is more than likely.

Expected Launch Timeline

Since the two motorcycles have been spotted on Harley-Davidson’s production line, the launch must be around the corner. You can expect an announcement in the next couple of months. What you should also be ready for is a bump in their price, which will take both motorcycles ever closer to the $50,000 mark.
