Ferrari leads in the second practice session at Nurburgring
In the second practice session the battle for supremacy was, like in the first session, between Ferrari and Mclaren.Kimi Raikkonen was the fastes with 1m 33.339s while the big surprise of the season, Lewis Hamilton placed second with 1m 33.478s. Felipe Massa followed them closely with 1m 33.590s. On the fourth place was Hamilton’s teammate, Fernando Alonso with 1m 33.637s.
In this second session Ralf Schumacher forced and got closer to McLaren and Ferrari cars.He placed 5th with 1m 33.668s.Jarno Trulli followed him overtaking Williams driver Nico Rosberg.Jenson Button also improved his performances, finishing in front of Rosberg with 1m 33.880s.
Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica, both driving for Bmw Sauber closed the top 10.They were followed by Mark Webber on the 11th place, Alex Wurz on 12th place and Super Aguri’s Takuma Sato.
Rubens Barrichello overtook the Renault cars driven by Giancarlo Fisichella and Heikki Kovalainen (1m 34.431s and 1m 34.446s respectively).Red Bulls’s Davild Coulthard placed behind them with (1m 34.504s) and he was followed closely by Anthony Davidson (1m 34.554s) in the second Super Aguri.
Scot Speed finished on 19th place with 1m 35.320s followed by his teammate with 1m 35.653s.The Spykers car finished in the same place like in the first session on the 21st and 22nd place.Markus Winkelhock took his round in 1m 37.319s before he spun out on the circuit.
