Honda Racing planning upgrades for the Japanese GP
Honda Racing, the Japanese team, announced they will upgrade their RA107 monopost for the Japanese Grand Prix that will take place next month. The team will try some of the components planned to be used on the 2008 monopost.
Honda plans to make the modification in attempt to obtain a victory at the Japanese Grand Prix in front of McLaren and Ferrari. According to Honda’s director of engineer Jacky Eeckelaert, with the help of their new aerodynamicists Loic Bigois and John Owen, the team has now new plans. Eeckelaert thinks that with the help of their new modifications the car will be almost like Ferrrai and McLaren monoposts.
It is hard to believe that the new improvements of the car will overtake the two super powers from the Formula 1 championship. Honda got only 1 point so far in this season and chances for obtaining a victory in the Japanese Grand Prix are very small.
One thing is for sure: Honda will definitely overtake the Spyker monoposts who usually take the last places in all Grands Prix.
