Kimi Raikkonen tops final testing at Spa-Francorchamps
The Ferrari driver topped the timesheets at 1:47.042s, with two-tenths of a second in front of Bmw Sauber’s Robert Kubica.
McLaren’s driver, Fernando Alonso set the 3rd fastest time being ahead of the Mark Webber’s Red Bull monopost.Giancarlo Fisichella was overtaken by the Red Bull monopost, setting a time of 1:47.724.
Alex Wurz was next up for the Wiliams team and ahead of Toyota monopost driven by Jarno Trulli.
Sebastien Bourdais set quite a good time in this 3rd session of testing. He finished on the 8th place, and was overtaken by the number 1, the Finn Kimi Raikkonen with just 1.5 seconds. This looks like a small difference but in Formula 1 counts every tenth of a second.
Rubens Barrichello set 1:48.70 in his Honda monopost but it was overtaken by Takuma Sato in his Super Aguri monopost.
Christian Klien got his first test with Spyker as he chases the vacant seat left by Christijan Albers.Klien raced within three-tenths of Sutil’s Wednesday best time.He completed 63 laps and he finished on the 11th place.
Now Colin Kolles, Spyker team boss has to take a difficult decision. If he considers that Klien is the solution to take Christijan’s place that means the young driver is one lucky guy.
Narain Karthikeyan seems he was not taken in consideration by the Spyker team. Few days ago he was favourite to take Christijan’s place but it seems that Klien was a better solution for the Dutch team.
