It’s official! Jacques Villeneuve, the Canadian driver, announced that he will debut in the Nascar for Bill Davis Racing this year.

Villeneuve said that he took fast this decision to join Bill Davis Racing. The driver explained that his main reason for choosing this team was that they are currently the leader of the championship ( who wouldn’t choose a team that is the leader of the championship..? ) .

The Canadian also added that in this way he will get some mileage in the Nascar series and in the future plans to move a step forward into the Nextel Cup series.

Villeneuve was also inspired in his decision by the progress that Juan Pablo Montoya had when he moved to Nascar. Now he wants to gain the same respect Montoya has in the Nascar. The only problem is that Villeneuve doesn’t have Montoya’s style and it will be hard for him to gain the respect the Colombian has now in the Busch Series.

And yet another Formula 1 drop-out heads to NASCAR. I suppose when the trash leaves the table it has to go somewhere.
