Juan Pablo Montoya to quit Nascar Busch Series
The Colombian driver Juan Pablo Montoya will compete at his final Busch Series race at Watkins Glen International due to the fact that his team wants to focus on the Nextel Cup for the rest of the season.Montoya competed so far 16 races of the 22 of the Busch Series.
Montoya’s team Chip Ganassi Racing has come to an agreement with team’s main sponsor Texaco/Havoline to focus on their Nextel Cup effort and transfer the remaining budget for the Busch Series into the Nextel Cup programme.
Juan Pablo Montoya won his first Nascar race at Sonoma in his Toyota/Save Mart 350 demonstrating that it doesn’t matter in which championship you race, as long as you have the racing passion in your blood.Many people doubted that Montoya could overtake the big boys from Nascar championship,but the Colombian did it, and he did it well.
Unfortunately the Colombian driver will not be racing at Montreal this weekend because he will focus on the Nextel Cup race at Pocono.
