Toyota gets pole position at Loudon
Toyota is the first Japanese automaker who obtains a pole position in the Nascar Nextel Cup.This perfomance was obtained by Dave Blaney who made all this in 29.426 at the top speed of 129 mph.In his run to the pole position, at the wheels of his Toyota Camry, Blaney overtook three Dodge cars: the 2004 champion Kurt Busch, Reed Sorenson, Johnny Sauter and also the winner at Sonoma, Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya .
Brian Vickers, initially qualified was then disqualified after his car his car failed post-qualifying inspection. This disqualification allowed Chad Chaffin of taken down its first ticket for a race of Nascar Nextel Cup.
It seems that Toyota has finally found the road of success in the NASCAR championship. After a difficult beginning of season the results have started to improve.
"We’ve had a very trying year, lots of trouble and lots of DNFs and it’s been tough. We’ve been outside the top 35 and you can’t concentrate on races when you’ve got to concentrate on getting into them. This is a big confidence booster for the whole team." said Blaney ,
