Sebastien Bourdais got a little help to win his 4th consecutive Champ Car Championship due to the fact that the officials cancelled the China and Phoenix races.
Bourdais will race this weekend at the Bavaria Beer Champ Car Grand Prix of Holland at the Assen circuit, and for winning the race and the championship he has to outscore his main rival and the local hero Robert Doornbos by 15 points.

Torro Rosso Scuderia confirmed the fact that the three-time Champ Car campion Sebastien Bourdais will be the driver of the team in the 2008 season. Bourdais will be the team mate of the new driver of the team, Sebastian Vettel. Looks like the team will have 2 drivers with the same name, let’s hope that this will bring them luck in the 2008 season.

7th victory for Audi at the 24 Hours of Le Mans(2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007).
Due to the strong rainfall that flooded the circuit in the last hour of the race, the Race Directors, led by Daniel Poissenot, decided to neutralize the race and deployed the safety cars for 50 minutes. It was a decision that didn’t affect the outcome of the race. The first priority of all teams was to finish the race safely.
