2022 BMW X3 M Competition

The 2022 X3 Competition comes with exterior and interior tweaks, and a small torque increase that makes it three-tenths of a second quicker to 60 mph

Two year after being inducted into the 'M' portfolio, BMW has unveiled the refreshed 2022 X3 M Competition

The performance SUV comes with exterior and interior enhancements, and a slight torque increase that makes it quicker off the line

The refreshed model receives the tweaks you would expect on a mid-cycle refresh. For starters, it now comes with an enlarged kidney grille and a redesigned bumper

The adaptive headlights have gotten slightly slimmer for a meaner look up front

The front bumper features more air vents that channels cool air to the brake system, transmission, the engine. It even helps with the overall aerodynamics of the SUV

It comes with a 112.8-inch long wheelbase that ensures ample legroom inside the cabin. The ground clearance is rated at 8.1 inches

At the rear, the SUV receives new full-LED taillights. The lower section of the rear bumper is M specific and finished in high-gloss black

The 2022 X3 Competition rides on 21-inch wheels as standard wrapped in 255/40- and 265/40 section tires at the front and rear, respectively

It comes with eight different paint finishes, including four new colors: Carbon Black Metallic, Brooklyn Grey Metallic, Bay Blue Metallic, and Sao Paulo Yellow

The cabin layout seems to be inspired by the 4 Series, although the changes are subtle

Behind the leather steering wheel with the contrast stitching in M logo colors is a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. A head-up display is offered, too

The X3 M Competition comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen system that runs on iDrive 7.0 system. A Harmon Kardon surround system comes as standard

The M Sport seats are upholstered in Merino leather and are available in three different dual-tone shades, one of which comes with Alcantara inserts

The BMW X3 M Competition is powered by the same 3.0-liter, six-cylinder twin-turbocharged engine as before

While it continues to make 503 horses, the torque is now rated at 479 pound-feet; an increase of 37 pound-feet more

Thanks to this, the SUV is much quicker in its 0-60 mph sprints, taking just 3.7 seconds as opposed to four seconds

There is no price revision. The X3 M starts at $69,900 plus $7,000 for the Competition package. So, this brings the starting price to $76,900

The market launch for the SUV is slated for September 2021 and deliveries should commence soon after
