Craig Jackson, CEO of Barrett Jackson, takes us around this one-of-a-kind, gorgeous, and well-documented 1962 Corvette. This Corvette Resto-mod dubbed "Elegance" includes several subtle bespoke alterations that may go unnoticed because of its seamless clean style.

The car is painted in a one-of-a-kind color called Champagne Mist.  All body lines have been accentuated and/or altered. The front of the car has a streamlined design and significant body modifications that include the removal of the bumpers and the solid grille rings accenting the front and matching side grilles. The body was redesigned by enlarging the rear quarters by two inches, rising the top body line by one inch, and also lengthening it one inch.

The wheel openings have been subtly modified to accommodate larger wheels, and the inner fenders have been custom-made and molded to the body. Custom billet inserts were also installed in the coves. All of the car's bolts are polished stainless steel, the hood and trunk latches have been removed, and unique actuators have been fitted under the body panels and are fully molded in.

Stepping inside, the interior truly is a work of art. The luxurious leather interior is meticulously handcrafted, including the seats, console, and trunk. You also get convenience features like air-con and power windows. Billet spears complement the billet side moldings throughout the interior. The headlight rings are built in a way that avoids the use of screws.

As far as what lies under the hood, this classic Vette is powered by a 427ci, LS7 engine that produces 505 horsepower with polished street and performance accessories, that is mated to a 4L65E Automatic Transmission. The drive is also refined with the addition of modern brakes and power steering.

All of the wirings are concealed. A polished aluminum radiator with stainless air conditioning lines completes the engine bay. A bespoke engine cover with an insignia that match the side badges is installed. The exhaust system features polished stainless steel with one-off bespoke tips, and the suspension is a fully polished C4 on a custom-molded chassis.

The car has a rich history, has received numerous accolades, and has won many prestigious awards over the years. They include the Top Ten Builder Choice in Del Mar, CA, the Detroit Great 8, the Top Ten Builder Choice in Loveland, CO, and the Gold winner at the Corvette Nationals in Chicago. The Elegance was a feature car at SEMA in Las Vegas Meguiar's "Car Crazy" TV show.

It was also a feature car at the Hot Rod & Restoration Trade Show in Indianapolis, a special guest at Long Beach MotoRama, and the Top 12 of the Mothers' Shine Award at SEMA. It was also featured in the November 2011 issue of Super Chevy Platinum magazine. The automobile is accompanied by awards.

Since competing on the show circuit, the car has covered a mere 700 miles, validating its roadworthiness. This Custom Chevrolet Corvette Topless Roadster will be sold with No Reserve at the Inaugural 2021 Houston Auction, set to take place September 16-18, 2021.
