In one of Drag Racing and Car Stuff YouTube channel’s most recent videos, you’ll get to see a bunch of drag racers hit the track to take part in the 2n Annual Christmas tree Drag Race Championship at Bradenton Motorsports Park, down in Florida. Most, if not all the cars that took part that night were carrying a lit Christmas tree on the roof.

One of those builds that dominated the night was none other than Rick Prospero’s Mazda RX7. Dubbed the 'Green Mamba' this 1990 RX7, the same age as me by the way, has given up its proprietary Wankel for an all-American heart. The original 13B Rotary mill was used to put out a modest 203 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque.

Now, with a Chevy Big Block V-8 along with twin-turbo 88mm Garrett mills under the hood, this Mazda RX-7 that had previously clocked in a sub-7second time probably produces anywhere in the region of 2000 horsepower.

You can watch the Green Mamba pick on the competition made up of a Vette, and an old Mustang. We saw an equally green Santa also briefly make an appearance in the video. For the final round, the Green Mamba takes on Cletus McFarland’s El Camino. Can you guess who won?
