2022 Porsche 911 GTS – Filling the Gap Between the Carrera S and 911 Turbo

If you want the perfect blend of on-road performance and track capability, then the GTS is where you need to look.

Porsche has just launched the 992-gen GTS with some impressive upgrades

The 3.0-liter Boxer-six now makes 473 HP and 420 LB-FT

Which represents an improvement of 23 HP and 15 LB-FT over the last-gen GTS

It’s also 7 HP and 15 LB-FT more than the 911 Carrera S that sits below it in the lineup

According to Porsche the new Carrera 4 GTS will hit 100 km/h in 3.3 when equipped with an automatic transmission

That makes it roughly 0.3 seconds faster than the outgoing model

Standard equipment includes the Sport Chrono package and the latest version of the Porsche Communication Management infotainment system.

Sports Seats Plus are also standard as is the Race-Tex Upholstery throughout the cabin

The suspension has been lowered by 10 mm or about 0.39 inches for better handling

And the GTS features the 911 Turbo’s larger brakes for better stopping power

You can buy an optional lightweight package which will give you carbon fiber bucket seats, lightweight glass, and a lightweight battery

The biggest change with that package, however, is the removal of the rear seats.

Total weight reduction will come in at 55 pounds or 24.95 kilo.

Pricing starts at $136,700 for the 911 Carrera GTS and climbs to as high as $156,800 for the Targa 4 GTS

U.S. deliveries are expected to start in early 2022.
