A New Prototype Suggests Aston Martin Is Doing Unthinkable Things to the Vantage

An aggressive-looking Test Mule suggests Aston Martin is shoving their Twin-Turbo V-12 into the Vantage

This wide-body Aston Martin Vantage was spotted at the Nurburgring

Like before, it seems the small coupe is getting the brand's big V-12

It will pack serious punch

The 5.2-liter twin-turbo V-12 is expected to make at least 600 hp and 555 lb/ft

A more agressive front end

The fascia is dominated by a bigger grille that expands down towards the new splitter

Additional hood vents

The cover around the hood bulge hints at additional heat extractors/air inlets

Flared fenders

The V-12 requires more space and stability. Hence, the wider track

Center exhaust tips

Those might not make it on the production car, as we see holes in the original positions

It could have active aero

On top of the decklid, we see a small spoiler, which looks to be retractable

A facelift is due

The Vantage is expected to undergo a facelift sometime between 2022 and 2023

The Vantage V-12 debut

The more hardcore Vantage is expected to arrive with the facelift

Potentially, the fastest road-going Aston Martin

If it gets the DBS Superleggera's 715 hp and 664 lb/ft, it could be the fasted road-going AM ever built

Over 211 mph top speed

And 0 to 60 mph in the low 3 seconds
