A New Rumor Says The 2022 Nissan Z Will Be On Sale Very Soon

Does this rumor expose Nissan’s plans for the 2022 Nissan Z, and is the reveal really imminent?

After revealing the Nissan Z Proto back in 2020

Nissan left us waiting for an official release date.

Since then, we’ve learned the 2022 Nissan Z won’t be available in Europe

And that it will be powered by the Infiniti Q60’s twin-turbo V-6.

An engine that should be good for at least 400 horsepower in entry-level form

On top of that, there’s even potential that the Nissan Z Nismo

Could use hybrid technology to deliver close to 500 horsepower!

The new Z will, however, ride on the same chassis as the current 370Z

But that chassis has been evolved and tweaked to make the new Z lighter, more agile, and stronger than ever before.

With less weight and more power, the new Nissan Z should be able to hit 60 mph in just under 5 seconds

The Z Nismo, which should arrive a few years later, will be able to do the same sprint in the low-four-second range.

Now, we’ve learned that Nissan is planning to open order books for the Nissan Z as early as November 15, 2021

This date means that the production version of the 2022 Nissan Z could be revealed in the next 3-4 months.

As for pricing, nothing is set in stone, but the new Z, at launch, is rumored to cost some $87 per horsepower

That means it will start out at $34,995, roughly $5,000 more expensive than the current 370Z.

The 2025 Nissan Z Nismo could come dangerously close to the $50,000 range, but it will be a very low price for a car that offers that kind of performance.
