Aston Martin revealed the DBX back in 2019 and it has since been the cornerstone of the Brit, accounting for nearly 50-percent of the sales. Fast forward to the present day, the automaker has put the DBX on steroids, made it more powerful, and has dubbed it the DBX707. Thanks to this power boost, the DBX 707 is now the world’s quickest SUV, taking just 3.1 seconds to sprint to 60 mph. Does Aston Martin have your attention now?

The boost comes because of a new pair of turbos and a different engine tune. Power is channeled to all four wheels via a new nine-speed wet-clutch gearbox. The rear electronic differential is also updated and now boasts of a 3:27.1 final drive ratio.

This makes it the most powerful Aston Martin with a V-8 engine. In the interim, it has also beaten its chief rivals, the Lamborghini Urus, the Bentley Bentayga, and the Rolls-Royce Cullinan in the power department. While it may be the most powerful "luxury" SUV, it isn’t the most powerful SUV. That crown belongs to the Dodge Durango Hellcat, which produces 710 horsepower.

Thanks to all these specs, the Aston Martin DBX707 is now the world’s quickest and fastest SUV. This happens when you engage the SUV in ‘Race Mode’.

It has edged the Lamborghini Urus and Dodge Durango Hellcat, which take around 3.5 seconds to the same mark. The Bentley Bentayga takes 3.8 seconds, whereas the Rolls-Royce Cullinan takes 4.5 seconds However, it must be noted that Car and Driver managed to sprint to 60 mph in a Urus in just 3.1 seconds, and DragTimes managed to do it in just 2.93 seconds! It is a lot quicker than the standard DBX, which sprints to 60 mph from rest in about 4.3 seconds (0-62 mph in 4.5 seconds).

To handle all the power safely, the company had to make changes to a lot of other things as well. The DBX707 comes with F1-derived carbon-ceramic brakes, measuring 16.5 inches at the front and 15.4 inches at the back. An upgraded suspension setup that is bound to improve the handling and ride quality is also plonked in here.

How Is The Aston Martin DBX707 On The Outside And Inside?

In terms of looks, the Aston Martin DBX707 looks a lot more aggressive than the standard SUV. The prominent changes include a larger version of the automaker’s signature ‘hill climb’ grille up front, new LED DRLs, new air intakes, and a front splitter. It rides on 22-inch wheels as standard, and 23-inch wheels are optional. A new quad-pipe exhaust setup and a larger diffuser round-up at changes at the back.

On the inside, you get sport seats with dark chrome trim as standard. Throw more moolah and you can get yourself comfort seats with bright chrome or carbon fiber finish. The company has also equipped soft-close doors here.

That’s not a very hefty premium over the standard DBX that hovers around the $200,000, considering we’re talking about cars that are well into six figures. The DBX 707 is on par with the Lamborghini Urus in terms of pricing ($225,000), but has become a lot more expensive than the Bentley Bentayga which starts at under $200,000 (around $190,000). The Rolls-Royce Cullinan is in a different league, though, starting at around $335,000.
