After the Continental GT and GTC S, Bentley now announces the Continental GT Mulliner. The new model will be placed at the top of the Continental GT lineup - right next to the GT Speed. It will combine the performance and dynamism of the GT Speed, with the comfort of the new Azure line and the luxury of the Mulliner handcraftsmanship.

What powers the new Bentley Continental GT Mulliner?

Under the hood, the new Continental GT Mulliner features the same engine as the GT Speed version: a 6.0-liter W-12 TSI engine that delivers a total of 650 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. This represents a 4-percent increase - or 24 horsepower -over the standard Continental GT version equipped with the W-12 engine. The engine sends its power to all four wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The sprint from 0 to 60 mph is made in 3.5 seconds, while top speed goes up to 208 mph - similar figures to the Continental GT Speed. Compared to the Continental GT equipped with the W-12 engine, the sprint time goes down 0.1 seconds and top speed up 1 mph.

But the powertrain is not the only thing the new GT Mulliner borrowed from the GT Speed. As a first for the standard Continental GT, the Mulliner version is also equipped with the electronic all-wheel steering and the eLSD rear differential. As an option, the new Continental GT Mulliner will also offer carbon ceramic brakes, variable ESC (Electronic Stability Control), all wheel steering, and an electronic limited-slip differential. All these updates will bolster the agility and performance even further.

Exterior and Interior Enhancements

The new Continental GT Mulliner will feature a few design elements that will help distinguish it from the rest of the lineup. First, it has the traditional ‘Double Diamond’ matrix grille and matching front fender vents with Mulliner branding. These new exterior accents can be had in either bright chrome or gloss black. The mirror caps are also either satin silver or black with Mulliner welcome lamps. The car rides on unique 22-inch wheels with self-leveling badges.

The interior takes the Continental GT luxury to an all-new level. Mulliner proposes eight different three-color combinations, but you can also choose between a full suite of Bentley hide colors, veneers, and stitching. The seats, door trims, and rear quarter panels feature the “Diamond in Diamond” quilting. This special quilting took 18 months to deliver and takes almost 400,000 stitches. Each diamond contains exactly 712 individual stitches. Mulliner logos are embroidered on each of the seat headrests, and even the floor mats are edged with micro-piping. The center console is dressed in a unique diamond milled technical finish, and the roof is upholstered in either indented hide or smooth hide.

Debut and Availability

The new Continental GT Mulliner will be offered for both coupe and convertible versions and will make its dynamic debut at the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Prices will be announced at a later date.
