Czinger 21C: The 3D-Printed Supercar That Lapped Laguna Seca Faster Than a McLaren Senna

McLaren Senna is no longer the quickest car around the Laguna Seca, thanks to the Czinger 21C!

The Czinger 21C beat the McLaren Senna's record by more than 2 seconds.

The California startup managed a lap time of 1:25:44 vs the Senna's 1:27:62.

Given the power difference, it's hardly a surprise. The Czinger's hybrid powertrain puts out 1,250 hp.

While the Senna makes "only" 789 hp.

The Czinger 21C is also lighter - 2,734 lbs vs the Senna's 2,983 lbs.

The 21C was also in "high downforce" mode and was equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.

The Senna really was outgunned in every possible way. 0 to 62 mph takes 2.6 seconds, while the Czinger needs only 1.9 seconds.

The Czinger is also capable of 281 mph top speed. By comparison, the Senna tops out at "just" 211 mph.

The Czinger managed to snatch the record from one of the most hardcore track cars ever made.

The American hyper-hybrid is completely road-legal.

It will be built in a limtied series of 80 cars, each with a $1.7 million sticker price.
