Does The Audi Q7 V-12 Have Enough Oomph To Beat The Torquey-Audi E-Tron?

This Q7 and e-Tron showdown is a modern-day dual-motor setup vs an old-school, naturally aspirated V-12 duel

The folks at Carwow pit the Audi e-Tron Sportback 55 against an Audi Q7 V-12 for a series of drag and rolling races

The Audi Q7 comes with a 6.0-liter, V-12 diesel engine that cranks 500 HP and 738 lb-ft of torque

Power is sent to all the wheels via a six-speed automatic gearbox

The Audi e-Tron Sportback features a dual-motor setup that make 405 HP and 490 lb-ft of twist combined

The Q7 weighs 5,809 lbs, which makes it 419 lbs heavier than the e-Tron

In the first drag race, the e-Tron didn’t have the best of starts, and this allowed the Q7 to beat it comprehensively

In the next two races, the e-Tron got better starts and it won both of them

The Q7 and the e-Tron then took part in two rolling races in different settings each time

The e-Tron’s instant torque helped it get better kickdowns, but the Q7 eventually overtook it both the times

In the final brake test, they took almost the same distance to stop, but the e-Tron beat the Q7 by the nose
