After making us wait for an eternity, Chevy finally announced the launch date of the Corvette Z06 sometime back. A couple of days back, it revealed the first official non-camouflaged image. Now, it has been spotted while shooting for a commercial. This seems like a start because we’ll surely be seeing a lot of it in the coming weeks.

A user on CorvetteForum posted three images on the forum, one of which gave us a glimpse of the red Corvette Z06. posted three images on the forum, one of which gave us a glimpse of the red Corvette Z06.}} Not a lot can be seen, but we get an idea of how the red, fiery Z06 will look like in the real world.

In the other photos, you can spot a trailer and a Porsche Cayenne as well, which is the camera vehicle. Smoke machines and drones were also present according to the user. Shouldn’t be too long before we get to see the official commercial. Perhaps, right after the car’s launch.

What Will The Z06 Look Like?

Corvette’s post on Instagram gave us an idea of what the highly anticipated car will look like.

Finished in a silver shade, the car looks bold and aggressive. You can spot a front splitter along with air dams, air ducts on the side profile, silver-finished dual-six-spoke wheels wrapped in low profile tires with red calipers peeping from behind. It is most likely the standard Z06 since the doesn’t have a large wing that we’ve seen in leaked pics before. That bigger wing could be part of the track-focused Z07 performance package and it could also include stuff like carbon fiber components around the body, lighter wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes, a more aggressive diffuser and splitter, etc.

What Do We Know About The Corvette Z06 So Far?

Nothing about the car is really confirmed yet, so take all of it with a pinch of salt. The car is expected to have:

- Powered by a 5.5-liter, flat-plane crank V-8 engine from C8.R race car

- Should make north of 600 horses and redline at around 8,500-9,000 rpm

- It will be mated to a dual-clutch automatic gearbox

- The Corvette Z06 will debut on 26th October
