Is This Latest Model S Prototype A ‘Track Pack' For The Plaid Or Is It The Plaid+?
A Model S Plaid prototype was spotted testing around the Nürburgring and it could either be a Track Pack or the Plaid+ that never happened!
A beefier, performance-oriented version of the already sporty Tesla Model S Plaid was recently spotted. It could very well just be a Track Pack for the Plaid, but it’s not too far-fetched to think that this could be the Plaid+
For the uninitiated, Tesla was supposed to roll out the Model S Plaid and Plaid+. However, it pulled the plug on the Plaid+. Musk said it was canceled because the “Plaid is just so good”
Now, a Model S Plaid Prototype with few differences has been spotted lapping the Nürburgring. For starters, it features a low front spoiler/splitter up front
The car also sits lower than the standard model. You can even see the ceramic brakes here that will help bring the car to a halt more efficiently
Lastly, there’s a big rear wing. It can be seen in different positions in the pictures, which means it is an active wing with variable settings
Our spy photographers also told us that two more Model S Plaids were spotted there; one red and one black. Both were the standard models and have been spied before as well. They could be there for comparison purposes
Whether this is the Plaid+ or just a Track Pack, one thing we know for sure is that the Model S Plaid is getting hotter soon
