Randy Pobst Looks Ready to Tackle Pikes Peak In This New Tesla Model S From Unplugged Performance

Randy will be taking part in the 2021 Pikes Peak event with a Tesla… again

Unplugged Performance has created a race-spec version of the Tesla Model S Plaid and will have it compete at the 2021 Pikes Peak race

The car will be piloted by Randy Pobst, the pro racing driver and writer from MotorTrend

On the outside, the stock body is retained, but it receives a huge front splitter...

… and a massive rear wing to keep it grounded and stable at high speeds

It rides on Yokohama Adven tires wrapped around forged aluminum wheels

Factory air springs are retained, but Bilstein dampers and an anti-roll bar have been equipped

The controversial Yoke steering can be seen in here

A racing seat, six-point seat belts, and a roll cage have been installed, whereas stuff like the center console, door panels, and even airbags have been stripped out

It retains the stock powertrain, which is a tri-motor setup that makes 1,020 horses, combined. 0-60 mph is rated at 1.99 seconds and the top speed at 200 mph

And, let us know in the comments section if you think Randy Pobst can pilot this Tesla Model S Plaid to some new records
