Spy Shots: An Early Look at the 2023 BMW 3.0 CSL

Only 50 units will be built, and each will come with supercar-like prices

BMW will launch the 3.0 CSL as part of BMW M's 50th anniversary

The model was already teased by BMW M boss Frank van Meel, but today it was also caught testing

The 3.0 CSL will be based on the BMW M4 CSL but it will actually have very little in common with the M4

Up front there will be an independent grill, a different bonnet and round air intakes in the bumper

In the back the model will add a different tailgate, a large spoiler above the tailgate and an additional roof spoiler

The rear wing is inspired by the one found in the 1970s 3.0 CSL

Under the hood there will be a tuned version of the M4’s 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged ‘S58’ inline six-cylinder engine with an output close to 600 horsepower

Only 50 units will be built, each with a price of around $736,000 - $788,000
