The 2022 Lexus LX 600 Breaks Cover As A Luxurious Land Cruiser 300

The Lexus LX 600 comes Stateside with a new V-6 engine, new platform, loads of tech features inside, and two new trims

Toyota dropped the ball on the Land Cruiser in the U.S., but has brought it here with the Lexus badge in the form of the LX 600. It is more or less a luxurious version of the Land Cruiser 300

It rides on the GA-F platform and features a 3.5-liter, twin-turbo V-6 gasoline engine under the hood. It puts out 409 HP and 479 lb/ft of torque. The engine is mated to a ten-speed automatic gearbox

The SUV also comes with Multi-Terrain Select drive modes, which comprises – Auto, Dirt, Sand, Mud, Deep Snow, and Rock. A Crawl Control mode is also available for off-road driving

The LX 600 comes with a spindle grille, LED headlights, and signature boomerang LED DRLs up front. It is offered with 18-, 20-, and 22-inch wheels; the latter being the biggest ever offered on a Lexus

The rear is quite boxy and again looks similar to the LC300. There are large taillights are connected by an LED strip. At the bottom, there is a faux skid plate with black bumper cladding

Lexus has introduced two new trims. The first one is the 'Off-Road' model that comes with stuff like 18-inch wheels, three locking differentials, and other aesthetic upgrades. It is a Japan-exclusive trim

The Executive grade is the other new addition and it focuses on luxury. It is offered with a four-seat configuration, and stuff like concave headrests, roof-mounted air vents, wireless charger, etc. for the rear seats

The cabin is luxurious, but all the themes and related details are yet to be announced. There are two touchscreens on the center console The top 12.3-inch touchscreen is for navigation, media, etc. The system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

The lower seven-inch touchscreen is for the HVAC settings and shows the off-road data when you’re using the camera feed on the larger screen while off-roading

There are other things like a rear-seat entertainment system, Mark Levinson 25-speaker sound system, voice recognition, etc.

Lexus has also introduced Fingerprint-Authenticated Push-Start Switch. Even if you have the smart key on you, you can’t start the SUV if your fingerprint isn’t saved in the system

Lexus Safety System + is available and it includes stuff like Pre-Collision System, Emergency Steering Assist, Lane Tracing Assist, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Road Sign Assist, and Adaptive High Beam

Lexus hasn’t announced the pricing yet, but we speculate the higher trims to breach the six-digit figure
