The Chevy Camaro's Last Stand May Involve Cadillac DNA and A Blackwing Heart

Sources tell MotorTrend that the sixth-gen 2023 Camaro might feature the CT5-V Blackwing’s LT4 V-8

GM is on the path to going electric by 2035, so the days of models like the Camaro with a gas engine are numbered

However, a recent scoop suggests that the fat lady hasn't started singing just yet, as a prototype of the 2023 Camaro ZL1 was reportedly spotted

MotorTrend speculates that the upcoming ZL1 will most likely feature the 6.2 L LT4 V-8 engine from the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing

This variant of the LT4 produces 668 HP & 659 lb-ft of torque

Other possible upgrades on the upcoming ZL1 include the MagneRide suspension and carbon-ceramic Brembo brakes

The manual transmission option, found on the current CT5-V Blackwing might also be offered

The redesigned Camaro won't be a track weapon, but this Blackwing engine will serve as a fitting send off to this chapter of the Camaro name

Because rumours also suggest that the 2024 Camaro will be an electric sedan. Swipe Up to Read More.
