The Fastest Cop Car In America is Not a Car but a Ford Pick-Up

LASDs F-150 Pick-up does the quarter-mile in just 5.9 seconds, making it faster than other police vehicles in the U.S.

Ford introduced its new F-150 Police Responder back in March, It is the Blue oval’s latest weapon, purpose built for North American police forces.

Ford claims that the new F-150 Police Pick-Up is now the fastest patrol vehicle available beating out all other sedans and SUVs in the fleet

It clocked a 0-60 mph in 5.9 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 14.44 seconds at 98.19 mph

Its 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost turbo engine produces 405 hp and 500 lb. ft of torque and tops out at 122 mph

According to Los Angeles and Michigan police, the superior performance enables officers to respond to emergencies more quickly

The cabin is just tough as nails, just like the civilian counterpart, apart from the added gear for Police forces

The F-150 Patrol car is also equipped with All Wheel Drive tracking for better handling and cornering in high speed scenarios

There is enough room for 5 people with all the added gear in place
