Mercedes has officially unveiled its 13th one-of-a-kind Cigarette racing boats, and this time it’s inspired by none other than the AMG GT Black Series. The source of inspiration is obvious since it rocks the same orange and black theme as the car it’s based on, but the performance is a good indicator as well. This 41-foot boat, known as the Nighthawk AMG Black Series, produces a total output of 2,250 horsepower from five, 4.6-liter Mercury Racing 450R V-8 engines. Each one produces a total of 450 horsepower at the propshaft, which is enough to get the boat up to a top speed of 90 mph in open water. Interestingly enough, the engines can be controlled individually or as a group via the advanced shadowing throttle system.

As for the Price, well, it will certainly cost you a lot more than the AMG GT Black Series, which starts out at $325,000 here in the U.S. A “standard” 41-foot Cigarette Nighthawk starts at around $800,000, with each of the engines coming in at close to $50,000 each, so we’re talking about $250,000 worth of engine alone. Add in the exclusivity and AMG touches, and we’re willing to bet you’ll be very well into the seven-figure range. Of course, this boat is reportedly already sold out, just like the AMG GT Black Series, so at this point pricing really doesn’t matter either, now does it.
