After modification by Manthey Racing, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS set a new Nurburgring record
Porsche held the record for the fastest production car around the Nordschleife, a record that was set in 2018
The German Sports Car maker broke the record with a 991.2 Series GT 2 RS
Since then, Mercedes Benz and Lamborghini have both managed to beat Porsche's time
To get back to the top, Porsche collaborated with Manthey Racing
Manthey has experience with motorsport and helped Porsche fine tune the already fast GT2 RS even further
They made several changes to the suspension setup and aero to achieve double the downforce of the standard car.
The wing helps generate of 440 lbs on the rear axle.
All the changes made to fine tune the cars shows and the Porsche GT2 RS set a new record of 6.43.30 minutes
The Porsche-Manthey team were ecstatic with their phenomenal achievement
