The Rimac Nevera Is a $2 Million Compact Hypercar With Aggressive Ambitions

Some of the Rimac Nevera’s accolades include 0-60 mph in 1.85 seconds, top speed of 258 mph, and quarter-mile in 8.6 seconds!

Three years after previewing the C_Two concept, Rimac has finally unveiled the production version of the hypercar called the Nevera

Rimac had revealed the Nevera as the C_Two concept at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show and it has gone through a plethora of changes up until the production-spec model

The Nevera looks quite handsome on the outside with those swept-back headlights, butterfly doors, and the naked carbon fiber elements

Rimac has paid special attention to the aerodynamics of the vehicle. It is said to be 34-percent more efficient when compared to the concept

The hood, shape of the pillars, diffusers, splitters, and the radiators have been designed to channel more airflow to the battery pack and the motors

- The hypercar comes with a ‘Low Drag’ mode that reduces the drag coefficient to 0.30. You can switch to ‘High Downforce’ to boost the downforce by 326-percent!

It rides on lightweight, forged alloy wheels that are also feature a unique aerodynamic design to channel air to the brakes

The Nevera's monocoque weighs less than 440 pounds

It consists of a bonded carbon roof, an integrated structural battery pack, and a rear carbon sub-frame composed of 2200 carbon fiber plies and 222 aluminum inserts

You’d expect the Nevera to be light, courtesy of the carbon fiber sub frame, etc. But, it actually weighs 4,739 pounds

The interior is quite plush and luxurious. The two-seater comes with tan upholstery that goes well with the carbon fiber inlays all around

The car features three screens – one behind the flat-bottom steering wheel, one on the center console, and the third one in front of the passenger

The Nevera will be offered in three trims from the factory – GT, Signature, and Timeless. But you can also customize based on your preference

The Rimac Nevera comes with a quad-motor setup that churns out 1,914 horses and 1,741 pound-feet of torque combined

The front and rear wheels are each connected to a pair of single-speed gearboxes

The braking duties are taken over by 15.4-inch Brembo carbon-ceramic discs with six-piston calipers

The Rimac Nevera takes just 1.85 seconds from 0-60 mph, 4.3 seconds from 0-100 mph, 9.3 seconds from 0-186 mph. The top speed is rated at 258 mph. It can do quarter-mile sprints in just 8.6 seconds

It also comes with ‘Driver Coach’, which is essentially an AI coach to guide your on-track performance. It makes use of 12 ultrasonic sensors, 13 cameras, six radars, and the latest NVIDIA Pegasus operating system

The Nevera comes with a 120 kWh battery pack and a WLTP-estimated range of 342 miles. It supports charging speeds of up to 500 kW and can recuperate from 0 to 80-percent in just 22 minutes

The Nevera is priced at €2 million, which is approximately $2.5 million as per the exchange rates at the time of penning this

Rimac will build only 150 examples of the Nevera EV hypercar
