The new Toyota Supra is nothing if not controversial. Meant to be a spiritual successor to the legendary Mk.3 Supra, it’s extreme ties to the BMW Z4 didn’t rub a lot of enthusiasts right. To this day, we’re still not sure if the new Supra is even as tunable as the Mk.3, at least not without some crazy 2JZ transplant, anyway. Regardless of what’s possible in real life, the new Toyota Supra is included as a day-one car in Forza Horizon 5 and, so far, it looks like it’ll at least live up to the reputation it’s meant to have in the game.

The Toyota Supra in Forza Horizon 5

If you jump forward to around the 8-minute mark, you’ll get a full detail of the new Toyota Supra in Forza Horizon 5. The presenters don’t go into extreme detail, but you’ll see the obligatory wide body kit is possible, as it the crazy huge Horizon wing, and an outrageously large selection of wheels. The presentation of the Supra ends with a nice drive in the tuned Supra, and the game does look amazing.

Beyond the Supra

Along with the long presentation of the Supra, the presenters also gave us some more insight into FH5’s setting. As you know, it’s set in Mexico with a number of biomes, including seaside towns, deserts, and even a volcano. As was the case with FH4, FH5 is also catered to the off-roading crowds as shown later in the video with the Baja 1000-style events – something that also goes in line with leaks that the Ford Bronco and Baja Bronco R will be among the list of FH5 cars.

Forza Horizon 5 launches on November 9, 2021 on the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, and the Xbox Cloud Gaming Service. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait.
