Gone are the days when Legos were just building blocks for small kids. Once people realized they can be fun for adults also, Legos suddenly became a serious passion. Companies realized this, too, and started making models of all shapes, sizes, and types. The latest Lego “artifact” that has caught our attention is this 1:8 scale model of the GTA Spano. It isn’t just a ‘model’; it comes with a set of motors that makes it mobile. In fact, it is officially the world’s fastest Lego model! The scale model has a top speed of 23 mph! Pretty cool, huh?

23 mph Lego Model Is Faster Than Some Full-Sized E-Bikes

There are a lot of Lego car models that we can think of, like the record-breaking Lego F1 car that’s composed of 500,000 pieces! Or, other full scale models like the McLaren Senna, the McLaren 720S, the 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss, and the Bugatti Chiron, to name a few. But, for now, let’s talk about this 1:8 scale model of the GTA Spano is built by a Slovenian company called BuWizz.

The model is made up of 3,880 bricks. It has a top speed of 36.5 kph (22.7 mph), which makes it several times faster than any other Lego scale model. This isn’t a dual-, tri-, or a quad-motor setup; it comes with 15 electric motors in total! 10 of these help the car roll around and the rest five motors help with other functions. Two of these are for the wing doors, one for the rear spoiler and air brake, one for steering, and the final one for the fake V-10 engine with moving pistons.

The car will be available in two colors – White and Red. As standard, the Spano scale model comes with BuWizz stickers. But, you can customize this bit. There’s an independent suspension as well, with castor angle up front. With close to 4,000 bricks and 15 motors, the scale model is bound to be heavy, you’d think. However, the plastic GTA Spano weighs just 4.3 kilos (9.5 pounds).

The car features five BuWizz 3.0 Pro controllers that are controlled using an app on your phone. It can even display information like the power generated, acceleration, G-forces, etc. When crashed, it will crumble, of course. So, make sure you have the patience to assemble 3,880 pounds if you get a little too adventurous and risky with the scale model.

For the uninitiated, the GTA Spano was a supercar built by GTA Motor, a Spanish automaker. It came out in 2010 and received an update in 2015. The latest model comes with a V-10 Viper engine that displaces 8.0 liters. It puts out 925 ponies and 900 pound-feet of torque. It takes 2.9 seconds from 0 to 60 mph and has a top speed of 230 mph. It is limited to 99 examples and was priced at around €700,000, which is approximately $813,500 as per the current exchange rates.

Despite just being a scale model, it isn’t readily available. The company says it takes around six months to deliver it. The 1:8 scale model GTA Spano is limited to 50 examples only.
